Q2. After renaming the file name of a part, the part cannot be opened with the parent product. How can i restore the link?

• For example, rename a part file from Metal_arm_a.CATpart to Metal_arm_b.CATpart (Fig.1). When we reopen its parent Product (Basket_assm_a.CATproduct), a warning window pops up, saying that the file cannot be found. (Fig.2)

• Click "Desk" button.

• Right-Click on the error part and select "Find...". Then select the new file "Metal_arm_b.CATpart" (Fig.3)

• Close the window

• The new part appears.

• File/Save all. Next time, the system will open the new part.
